Hello OLV families and welcome to my social worker page.

My name is Ms. Larkin, and I am ecstatic to be working at Our Lady of Victory School. I graduated from Mercy University in 2017 with a Bachelor's degree in Social work. In my spare time, I like to get my nails done, shop, lanyard creations, and spend time with my two beautiful boys. I have been working with children for over eight years.

I truly enjoy working with young children and helping them build their "social-emotional toolbox". A social-emotional toolbox refers to a collection of strategies and activities designed to help young children understand and manage their emotions, build positive relationships with their peers, and develop self-regulation skills, including tools like deep breathing exercises, calming visuals, positive self-talk, and structured play activities to address various emotions like frustration, sadness, and excitement. Pre-K students need a supportive environment where they feel safe, valued, and inspired to learn. I enjoy being able to support young children because all children are unique individuals with different personalities, abilities, and learning styles.
