Meet the Teacher:
My name is Theresa Farmer. I have been teaching children from Pre-k to grade 2 for over 20 years. I have been teaching at Our Lady of Victory for over 15 years. Teaching is my passion. I love being greeted by each morning by my student’s smiling faces knowing that each day is a new opportunity to learn and grow. In my spare time, I like to cook, travel, and spend time with my two beautiful children.

In 1st grade, students learn Religion, ELA, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.- Religion: Sadlier We Believe Curriculum focuses on creation, the life and teachings of Jesus, Prayer, The seven Sacraments, and Holy Days.
- ELA: MyView focuses on foundation skills, fiction and non- fiction stories, language/conventions, spelling, and writing.
- Mathematics: Eureka Math Curriculum focuses on addition/subtraction within 120, place value, number patterns, measurement, word problems, graphing, money, time, and shapes.
- Science: Pearson Interactive Science Curriculum focuses on the nature of science, living and non-living things, life cycles, habitats, states of matter, and push/pull.
- Social Studies: PNW Boces/My World Curriculum focuses on family, communities and neighborhoods, economics, calendar skills, American symbols, geography, and holidays.
