Meet the Teacher:
My name is Ms. A. Pfeifer, and I have been teaching at Our Lady of Victory School for 19 years. Over the course of my 19 years, I have taught Grades Pre-K through First Grade. I have a Masters Degree in early childhood, birth-second grade and hold dual-certification in general and special education.

Our classroom aides are Ms. Brown & Ms. Dana-The assistants help the students each day with both daily living skills, as well as help to support them academically. Both Ms. Brown and Ms. Dana, are loved by students and teachers alike :)

The curriculum that is used throughout the school year is a literacy based curriculum called Early Foundations, by Newmark Learning. There are 10 units that cover themes that such as: Me, Myself and I, Community Helpers, Safety and Healthy Eating, amongst other fun topics that will help teach students how to navigate their world. Each unit is 3 weeks in length and includes theme related books, as well as a letter of the week. In addition to Literacy, the Early Foundations offers cross curricular activities that incorporate other subject areas such as Science, Math, Social Studies. Each unit also includes extension activities that incorporate social emotional stories, songs and movement, and nursery rhymes that foster reading readiness skills.
