Hello! My name is Deborah Wong. This is my 8th  year in the field of education and I joined Our Lady of Victory School last year. Over the years I have worked with children in elementary and middle school. I have a Master's Degree in Education and I am dual-certified in Childhood Education and Students with Disabilities.  In my spare time, I love spending time with my kids and doing arts and crafts. I look forward to working with the new pre-k 3 years old class and I am excited about this opportunity.

Meet the Teacher Aide:

My name is Carvelle Dodds. I have been working with children for six years. I love working with kids because I have always had a passion for sharing knowledge. Children always encourage me to use my imagination and find creative ways to do things.


Curriculum:

The curriculum used in Prek-3 is Frog Street Threes! This program was specifically designed for learners at the age of 3. There are 9 units that are implemented during the school year including various
themes that pertain to our everyday lives such as; Awesome Me, My Family and Friends, Safe and Healthy, My School, Things that move, and much more!

Learning through these topics will help our young minds navigate their daily tasks. Our Pre-k students learn through a center-based atmosphere. Our schedule includes two times for center time play, once in the morning and once in the afternoon. The classroom is equipped with centers such as ;
Blocks, Art, Technology, Writing, Kitchen, Science, Library, and Math. During this time students will be able to explore and engage in our weekly themes emphasized in our learn-through-play environment.
